We’re excited to share the latest update to CountryRisk.io Insights, our AI-powered platform designed to modernise how you monitor, assess, and manage country risk. Built for analysts and decision-makers across finance, compliance, and corporate strategy, Insights brings together trusted content, transparent risk models, and powerful AI-driven workflows.
NEW: Data analyst
Meet Data Analyst, a powerful new feature now live in the CountryRisk.io Insights platform that turns raw data into analysis-ready insights in seconds. Embedded directly in your workflow, Data Analyst lets you find trusted economic data, run analyses, generate commentary, and produce publication-ready charts—fully styled to your corporate standards—all without leaving Insights. Powered by our end-to-end data pipeline via CountryData.io and the MCP, it delivers transparent, reliable results while eliminating repetitive manual work, giving economists and risk analysts a true end-to-end research environment that mirrors how they actually work. We can provide access to various datasets from the IMF, World Bank and many other sources or integrate your internal or proprietary datasets.

NEW: File-upload in AI Assistant
You can now upload external documents directly into the CountryRisk.io AI Assistant and analyse them as part of the conversation. Once uploaded, the Assistant can summarise reports, compare viewpoints across documents, and highlight key differences in structured formats such as tables. Because the files remain in context, you can ask follow-up questions and explore specific details without re-reading lengthy PDFs—turning static documents into interactive insights and significantly speeding up document-heavy research workflows.

NEW: AML Country Risk Score – Version 2026
We’re also releasing Version 2 of the CountryRisk.io AML Risk Score, designed to reflect the growing complexity of global AML/CTF regulation and the need for more consistent, defensible country risk assessments. The new version expands and refines the model with additional quantitative indicators across the risk factors predicate offences, AML regulation and enforcement, institutional quality, and transparency, delivering a more robust and transparent risk classification that is updated monthly. Crucially, the AML Risk Score is available not only as a global base model, but also in regional and national variants—including EU, US, Germany, and France—each aligned with local regulatory guidance, supervisory lists, and enforcement expectations, so institutions can apply the right risk view for the jurisdiction they operate in.
